Open Studio This Weekend
This coming weekend is my annual Open Studio which is kind of like having a party in my studio. I feel it is quite different from having an art exhibit. Mostly because I am there for the whole weekend (rather than a 2 hour opening) and can talk with people in a more relaxed way. Visitors have a chance to sit down, drink some wine (or hot apple cider), listen to music and look at my artwork in a more intimate space. I’m around to answer any questions.
I think the open studio works well because people seem more comfortable visiting an artists’ studio when it’s turned into kind of an event and others will be there too doing the same thing.
